It’s been about 14 years since the brothers recorded an album and this latest album only proves these men still have the skill to pull us into the music. it may have been a while since the last CD but they aren’t rusty! This sis one of my favorite Blues albums of the year so far! If you haven’t heard these blues men take this opportunity to pick up this album, if you love the blues you won’t be disappointed here!  STRONG musicianship a satisfying groove and funky rhythm section to each song sure to grab your soul and make you want ti hit the dance floor. Thank ou so much King Brothers for releasing this album and bringing us much-needed distraction from politics and the sad state of world affairs.
as you see my favorite song on the album is the title track “Get up and Shake It”, I rarely throw out High numbers like this! A 10 in my book has to be truly deserving and this one song is I think the first 10 I’ve given out of the year!

ABOUT

The King Brothers’ passion and visceral interpretation of the Blues attracts fans from all walks of life. Rather than relying solely on tried-and-true Blues stylings, which they inherited naturally from Blues legends like their second cousin Freddie King and their “adopted Uncle” Albert King, Sam and Lee King are establishing a new standard.

“It’s danceable, it’s rock-flavored, funk-flavored, and gospel-flavored,” explains Lee. “I don’t know a damn thing about picking cotton; I don’t drink whiskey; I don’t dip snuff; I don’t fit any of those bluesman stereotypes, I do Blues the way I feel it.”
