Walter Trout speaks about his wife, Marie, being chosen to induct John Mayall into the Blues Hall of Fame in Memphis, May 4th, 2016:

“Someone very special has been chosen to give the induction key-note speech for John Mayall at his Blues Hall of Fame induction in Memphis on May 4th and she is my wife, Marie. She will be there with Mayall and with Eric Corne, our dear friend and record producer, who is also the president of John’s label, Forty Below Records She’s very, very excited and honored to have been asked by not only the Blues Foundation but also by Mr. Mayall to do this for him. I wish I could be there, but I’ll, unfortunately, be out on the road, playing the blues. Wait, I shouldn’t say ‘unfortunately,’ because two years ago, you know, I couldn’t play at all; so happily I’ll be out plying my trade while my beloved wife is inducting my surrogate father into the Blues Hall of Fame.” ~Walter Trout
